Planetary Surface Modules
Surface habitats, command centers, and scientific outposts for the Moon and Mars. These modules are engineered for harsh planetary environments and are equipped with modular bases, regolith shielding capabilities, and in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) compatibility for anchoring and local material integration. Interiors are configured by clients to support a dynamic range of mission requirements.
ARX STELLA’s lunar surface module concept features an 80-by-40-inch hatch intended to accommodate crew access and the transfer of larger equipment and supplies. Envisioned for connected lunar habitats, laboratories, and operational spaces, the module offers a flexible building block for future surface infrastructure and long-duration exploration.
ARX STELLA’s airlock module concept features 50-inch hatches and oversized Common Berthing Mechanisms (CBM+) for connection to planetary surface module infrastructure. The module supports crew preparation, equipment transfer, and surface operations by providing a dedicated transition space between pressurized living and working areas and the external space environment.
Nuclear Modules
Self-contained energy modules including small modular reactors (SMRs), radiothermal electric generators (RTGs), and deployable power management systems. These units are built for redundancy and long-duration reliability on the lunar or Martian surface, or in orbit, and are fully shielded to comply with safety and launch standards. Each module can autonomously regulate output and interface with multiple ARX systems.
ARX STELLA’s lunar surface nuclear module concept is envisioned to house a compact reactor and supporting systems for future lunar power applications. Shown from three perspectives, the module combines our exoshell architecture with provisions for reactor integration and radiation shielding, aiming to support the energy needs of lunar habitats, research facilities, and surface operations.
ARX SETTLEMENT
ARX Settlement represents ARX STELLA’s long-term goal for the future: an interconnected surface community built from modular infrastructure. Envisioned to bring together living quarters, laboratories, workspaces, and supporting utilities, the concept provides a flexible foundation for sustained exploration and habitation on the Moon and Mars, with room to expand as mission needs grow.
